A FEATHER MAXI SKIRT?! how cool would that be…. or so I have been saying for at least 10 years, since I first saw this class by Anna Maria Horner on Creative Bug. It has taken me so long to get around to crossing this off my ‘to make’ list and yet again, I am left wondering why on earth it is so, when I always knew it was a lovely project.

Read MoreOnce everything was done and dusted, I am just over the moon with this project. I would definitely make this pattern again and I just know that this quilt is going to be used and treasured and hopefully in lots of sunny day photos of family days out. When I look at holiday snapshots from my childhood, my Mum is often wearing the same sundress year after year and I like to think this quilt will turn out to be like that, in all the pictures, soaking up the sunshine and happy family times.
Read MoreAround Easter time, our youngest son was home from London for a couple of days and it so happened that it was warm and sunny weather. He was lying on the grass in the middle of the garden while the rest of us were sitting on the terrace with our mid morning tea. All of a sudden he jumped up and declared ‘we should have a pond!’ and within 5 mins, he, along with my husband, had got the spades out of the garage and started digging.
